Early Learning Resource Program
The Early Learning Resource Program offers services to children in licensed home and centre-based programs, recognized recreation programs and Early ON Child & Family Centres. These services are available for children, families, educators and community agencies.
Our Early Learning Resource Coordinators provide:
- Consultation based on the principles and practices in Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years, How Does Learning Happen?
- Information and strategy to maximize the physical environment in support of children.
- Professional development and information sharing in centre staff meetings.
- Workshops for educators and families.
- Modelling and coaching of recommendations and strategies.
- Support with individualized planning and strategy in order to facilitate the child’s optimal development and participation.
- Coordination of services with other agencies, including referral.
- Support in completing applications for centre staff funding after our Coordinators have observed, assessed and provided resources.
- Assistance to families to complete applications.
- Transition planning from the home to childcare and/or school.
- Advocacy for child and family.

For more information about the Early Learning Resource Program, please call the Lindsay Office at (705) 328-0464. Community partner agencies may contact us to refer a child and their family. However, families are also encouraged to reach out directly if they would like more information about this service.
